Kohi - Visual Identity
Kohi is a fictional cafe for which I developed a visual identity inspired by the colors and tranquility of Japan, combining tradition and modernity.
ROLE
PROBLEM
In a saturated market of frantic and noisy venues, Kohi aims to position itself as the perfect place to relax. The challenge was to translate the complexity of nature into a minimalist identity but with a touch of liveliness, capable of communicating silence and quality without being anonymous.
RESULTS
High brand recall thanks to the palette that stands out from neutral competitors
Versatile visual system designed to adapt consistently in both physical and digital environments
Strategic design that positions the cafe as a premium but accessible brand
The concept
The project explores the balance between the tranquility of a zen garden and the vibrant energy of contemporary Tokyo. The concept is inspired by a Japanese pond, with a natural and lively palette alongside the mascot of the frog. In Japanese, Kaeru means both frog and to return, symbolizing how the customer always returns to their corner of peace.

Creative development
The palette combines the green of moss with the orange of a koi carp, resulting in a serene and bright appearance. The visual language alternates between simple layouts and empty spaces with playful illustrations of the mascot. The typography blends modern geometry with lighter italic strokes, creating a bridge between past and present.

Conclusion
The final identity conveys a sense of calm joy. The use of a mascot in a minimalist context allows the brand to be empathetic and recognizable, transforming the cafe into a lively space where Japanese tradition converses with modern carefree spirit.
