Abruzzo National Park App

I designed the interface and architecture of a mobile app for one of the national parks in my region. The project was developed as part of my academic journey, with the goal of creating a functional, user-centered design.

ROLE

UX/UI designer

PROBLEM

The app has been designed to help visitors plan excursions, discover points of interest, and consult practical information in real-time in a simple and intuitive way.

RESULTS

Minimalist and user-centered aesthetics

Elements that are visually consistent with the park's natural context

Filterable routes, weather data, and useful news for on-site experience

Step 1: Competitor analysis

I started with competitor analysis to identify pain points, elements to develop, and unique opportunities for the app. This guided the definition of the key features and the interface design.

Phase 2: Flowchart and design system

Next, I created a flowchart to map user journeys and developed a comprehensive design system (colors, typography, components) to ensure visual and functional consistency throughout the interface.

Phase 3: Design and usability testing

Finally, I created interactive prototypes to simulate the app, which I then subjected to usability testing with real users, gathering feedback that helped me refine the product's design and intuitiveness.
